Last summer I visited Lake Batur in Bali. My room was almost at the water's edge, and I woke up to this stunning morning scene. I think the kayaker paddling in the mist sets the magical mood perfectly.

Morning mists always do it for me. Beautiful photo here, Nancie! Your photos are always amazing and this one is no exception. Those magesitc mountains dwarfing the misty scene below... What a setting!

The mist rising from the water brings back those magical long gone days of my childhood spent on a quiet Northern lake. Serene and lovely. This one gets 5 stars.

Just passing through and looking at some of the wonderful pictures around and about. Yours hit me.

There is a grand illusion of depth here and th more I look at this the more I see. It looks (almost) like the edge of a small waterfall and you caught the mist perfectly. In a sense, scanning my eyes, it's as if one is looking into some different dimension. I can 'split' the top from the bottom; serene, smooth and silky to the bottom and diffused to the top.

I have no such 'talents' in picture-taking, but if I took this I would be over the moon with it! I hope that you are and from my limited perusing of photographic Forums I *know* this would be a big hit with even the best of seriously amateur photographers. In fact ... I think it's award material ... I should take that back because you might just think I am patronising you. But I'm not, so the statement stands. If I where you I'd cherish this shot; most *definately*

The best of *all* the wonderful pics of this particular theme!
